Akron Pro Basketball Team Opens 2018-2019 Season at North High School November 3rd

Akron, OH – Akron’s professional basketball team, the Akron Aviators will be hosting the La Crosse Showtime on Saturday, November 3rd at North High School in Akron, OH. The doors open at 6:30 PM for a 7 PM tip-off.

The Akron Aviators are playing their second season in the iconic American Basketball Association (ABA) which now operates across the United States, Australia, and Mexico. Three players from last season’s Akron Aviators have been signed to overseas contracts in Europe, Asia, and Canada. The Aviators are coached by northeast Ohio native Tom Vilk who held an assistant coaching position last year, and has previous head coach experience in the International Basketball League (IBL).

“I’m thrilled to be starting our second season after last year’s success,” says Brian Collins, owner and co-founder of the Akron Aviators. “We have a great team and are ready for the La Crosse Showtime, who we defeated in our season opener last year.”

The Aviators boast exciting and affordable basketball and entertainment for the whole family. Tickets start at just $5 for all students and $10 for adults, with a $20 family 4-pack and VIP. All games are played at Akron North High School – 985 Gorge blvd, Akron, OH 44310
