The Akron Aviators are collecting new, unwrapped toys at our next home game, Saturday, December 14.

The Aviators play the Burning River Buckets, Saturday, December 17, at the Mason Community Learning Center gymnasium, 700 E. Exchange St, Akron.  Doors open at 6:30pm and tickets are $10 for adults and just $5 for students. All donors will receive a voucher for a free item at the concession stand as a thank you for their donation to a child in need. Members of The Salvation Army, Summit County Area Services, will be on hand to greet fans and collect any toys for discount admission.

“The toys Aviators fans bring to the game will enable us to help families in our Christmas distribution of care packages of food and toys. We serve families who otherwise would not have anything under the tree if not for your help.”

Lt. Col. James Reynolds (ret.)

“It’s so important to us that we can give something to the children of Akron, especially this time of year. The magic of the holidays shouldn’t be lost to a family due to hardship and I’m really happy we can help the Salvation Army give back to the kids.”

Brian “Essince” Collins, Akron Aviators owner and co-founder

There will be a halftime show by national recording artist Tre Hoover with national anthem by Reka.
